James Webb, is proud to announce that www.carcliq.co.uk have agreed to support his racing in 2013 BTCC Ginetta Junior Championship.
“It is a great opportunity to work with CarCliq to harness their funding, energy and enthusiasm to allow me to be better prepared for racing. Partnering with CarCliq is a perfect match and a recipe for driving success. ‘’ quotes James
A natural talent, James has been testing at national tracks with a grade 'A' Ards instructor to enable his skills to be developed in understanding the dynamics of the car and its limitations in preparation for his first televised race on ITV4.
James’ story so far......
Started racing in cadet karts and obtained his National MSA ‘A’ licence at the age of 9, competing to a very high standard and racing at tracks all over the country.
Moving from cadets to Rotax Junior 2 years early requires him to mature very quickly and also grow in confidence. Hands on assistance to his father, who dealt with all of the mechanics of the kart gave James a better understanding of the performance on the track and the fine specifications needed to reach its highest potential.
James ended up turning quite a few heads with the results he attained, usually as the youngest driver on the grid.
Karting has also given James the respect he has for fellow drivers, marshals and seniors, as well as the Clerk of the Course, making him a popular and well regarded driver within the community.
James moved from karts to cars last year, which he describes as a whole new challenge, learning gears and the dynamics and mechanics of a car. He has now attained his MSA ARDS licence.
His first race was just 10 days after his 14th birthday, (the legal age to race a car), at Silverstone the home of British Motorsport. The car prepped and ready to go he held his nerve to attain a podium finish on his first race!
James finds motorsport exhilarating and challenging. He appreciates the technicalities; the mechanics and dynamics of the car, and enjoys working through problems to find solutions and achieve the highest potential of the vehicle. He has a record of success since the age of 9, and says that for him the best enjoyment of all is in his driving.
Now, he says, “With CarCliq, a new era has begun, to take me one step closer to my dreams”.
