A handsome late-build series-one 416 SLi Tourer in nightfire red with just 51,000 miles. Never a common sight and now very rare with only a handful of others still on the road and definitely an appreciating modern classic. , MOT is due to expire at the end of November 2024. But no obvious signs that it won’t pass next time around as indeed it has done so, without advisories, in the last two tests in 2022 and 2023. , Clearly this has been a well looked after car: many thousands spent on parts and maintenance over recent years…timing belts done in 2018, throttle body replaced in 2019. New track rod ends and tracking done 2022. Cylinder head skimmed and cleaned and new valves and guides in 2018 (photo records of the work is in the car’s document file). Head refitted with new cylinder head bolts and correct gaskets. New clutch and drive shafts in 2016. , Mechanically all appears fine and car drives well in all conditions, city or long motorway journeys. , Interior is in very good condition with all electrics etc. working and no dash warning lights showing. The only thing to note is a slightly droopy headling at front and rear edges but it is taught and dry around the sunroof, which, incidentally, opens and seals shut as it should. , Bodywork is good with just a couple of minor light scrapes commensurate with the age. Paintwork is average…sadly the car has suffered from ‘lacquer peel’ on the roof and, less noticeably, on the bonnet. Side panels are all OK. , The car comes with its original dealer handbook and service stamps showing to 2016 as well as a variety of receipts relating to the more recent works mentioned above. Also included are a variety of spare parts including a brand new windscreen and a new front grille.
