On the 29th April 1988 Miss Benger from Wiltshire collected her new Vauxhall Astra 1.3 Merit estate from Signpost Motors of Trowbridge [Vauxhall Dealers,] paying a total of £7,443.58 inc factory option Metallic Neptune Blue paint and etched windows [£64 extra] in the deal was her p/x, a 1979 on the T Hillman Hunter in Bronze. Who knows, but perhaps the very first song played on the Phillips DN272 AM/LW digital radio during its inaugeral journey that spring day in April 88 was the number 1 from that week: Theme from S-Express by S Express? For whatever reason Miss Benger didnt use her new Astra very much [!], choosing to store the new car in her garage, sending it for MOT [every April] for 19years before transferring ownership to her neighbour in January 2010 with just 3,050 recorded miles.
