Porsche 993 Background : The Porsche 993 is the last of its kind, the pinnacle of air-cooled design and with just a 4 year production run it is the bridge from classic to modern 911’s. As such it has quite rightly won its place in the hearts and garages of enthusiasts and investors alike. They are modern enough to make the early cars and even the 964 seem archaic yet the proximity to the upright windscreen, the compact dimensions and the old-school interior and switchgear just ooze retro charm. The air-cooled motor has so much character compared to its water-cooled replacements, whirring and purring in its unique style.Provenance and Service History:Built in 1995 to C16 UK Specification it was registered on the 01/08/1995 by JCT600 Porsche Newcastle on the then brand new N Registration. The car remained in the UK for the first few years of its life before being exported, initially to Guernsey and then to Jersey. It remained in Jersey until it was repatriated to a UK collector in 2017. Fortunately, its wanderlust is well documented by the maintenance of its extensive service history whilst in warmer climes. All lights, badges and trims including the heckblende are present, correct and free from fading, damage or discoloration. The 17” alloys are factory correct, unmarked and shod with the watching Pirelli tyres. Behind the alloys the calipers are still vibrant red with crisp unfaded Porsche lettering Interior:The interior is a fabulous place to reside. The electrically adjustable sports seats are finished in marble grey leather that perfectly co-ordinates with the metropole blue dashtop and the stunning exterior colour. All the switch gear is in perfect working order and the leather is only showing minor signs of wear and the carpets are unmarked having been protected by genuine Porsche over mats. The boot area is in good order with only minor marks to the plastics to show use and the carpets remain taught and undamaged.
